The San Zhi District Office held the "Dragon Art Celebrating the Lantern Festival - San Zhi Lantern Festival" this year, with the theme of agriculture and art and culture. The lanterns were painted by community members, local artists, and social welfare groups. The lighting ceremony was held at Fu Cheng Park last week, and the 200 lanterns will be on display until the end of the Lantern Festival.
Lai Xiao-ping said that the 200 lanterns were created by San Zhi community members, local artists, and social welfare groups. They were displayed at Fu Cheng Park on the eve of the Lantern Festival, and a lighting ceremony was held to mark the official opening of the San Zhi Lantern Festival. This is the first time that the district office has held a Lantern Festival. The goal is to showcase the different aspects of San Zhi through the unique lanterns.
San Zhi is a city of art. This lantern festival was created through a series of workshops that brought together local artists and community members to paint lanterns with San Zhi's unique characteristics. Each of the 200 lanterns in Fu Cheng Park represents a different aspect of San Zhi.
Lai Xiao-ping said that San Zhi's development focuses on the two core themes of "agriculture" and "arts and culture." This lantern festival incorporates local creative elements. The art team was invited to lead the public in integrating art into life. It is hoped that through the spirit of agriculture, art, and rural villages, the festival will continue to advocate for community sustainability on the North Coast, allowing visitors from afar to experience the unique Mountain and Sea Art City of San Zhi during the Lantern Festival this year.
